It’s still a little strange, getting used to the winter holidays in Arizona. The familiar markers from the northeast are missing — bitter cold, varying shades of gray skies, jockeying for a parking space at the mall, loud music. I used to rely on the adrenaline rush of shopping to get me revved up for a month of celebrating but now I like the quiet. I like shopping on-line. I like selecting my own background music and relaxing in the peaceful mood I create for myself.

I’d better enjoy it, actually, because next weekend we head back into the craziness of Holiday Time Back East and road trips to see family and friends.

As for now, I will practice breathing in, and breathing out…breathing in and out…in and out… 😉

Oh, I was going to offer you some of our cold and snow, but I have a feeling that your Arizona holiday is delicious as is.

    Btw, you’re tagged 🙂

    Tagged, huh…. 🙂
Well, I’m not as organized in my day as you are…really! But I do like to have the same components as you. I do yoga and simple aerobics when it’s too hot or cold for me to enjoy walking. I don’t do as much journaling, per se, as I did before I developed pronator syndrome, but I do try to record special moments. And I must have time to be creative, share with Roy, and be outdoors even if just for a few minutes.
Great idea for a list, Jamie!
