Ten years ago, Roy’s parents passed away. We commemorated the 10th anniversary of their passing with a family get-together weekend at the country home of Roy’s sister and brother-in-law. There were 17 adults, 11 children, 2 large dogs and 1 cat who made it to upstate New York and we had an action-packed several days. Here are a few photos of some of the quieter moments. (There was no internet access up there which is why you haven’t heard from me until now.) A great time was had by all!

I love the t-shirt idea. Makes you all look like a real clan.

My parents were looking down and beaming with joy! They passed away within about 48 hours of each other ten years ago. They were true soulmates and wonderful role models. Even at the end, they passed the way they lived their lives (together). They were family first. Their last unselfish act was to pass on a day that missed my nephew’s and niece’s birthdays (mom passed July 16, my nephew’s birthday July 17, dad passed July 18, my niece’s birthday July 19). Sadly, my dad’s only sister Aunt Helen passed away in FL. only a few days before the reunion. My sister Val was visiting my Aunt and was in FL. when she passed. When I told Sunny the news of my aunt, Sunny said to me, “I guess Aunt Helen wanted to be at the reunion”. I know that they all were. There was a rainbow that stretched across the street on the day the family was all in town. I know that rainbow was there to remind me of the connection that love makes. All I can say is..Mom and Dad..you did it again!
