Nothing does it for me like the taste of perfectly fresh, ripe peaches. We’re not too far from the peach capitol of Georgia and this is the best time of the year for biting into the big ones. The juice just explodes.

Another summer refresher: Just finished reading Bob Greene’s When We Get To Surf City, about his 15 summers spent playing back-up for Jan and Dean. Fun stories of behind-the-scenes beach music and criss-crossing the country with other groups from the 60’s.

Outside of being at the beach, these are the markers of summer for me.
